The Strand Consort: Bach and Brahms motets
The Strand Consort is a dynamic group of young, London-based professional singers, with an energetic approach to choral works. The Consort has gained an impressive following since its inception, and is fast becoming a group to watch on the London choral circuit. Each project is a result of bids from members of the group, affording its singers the freedom to collaborate with like-minded musicians on the music that they love.
The Consort was originally formed from a core group of ex-choral scholars of the Choir of Kings College London. On 13th December, The Consort will make its debut performance at St John's Smith Square, in a joint Advent programme with The Choir of King's College London.
The Strand Consort looks forward to sharing a programme of motets by Bach and Brahms at St Nicolas Church, Cranleigh, on 17th August at 5pm.
